Spring Camping at Camp Acton

Attached please find the permission slip for the upcoming campout on the weekend of April 17-19. The theme is “Just Plain Camping” because that’s what we’re doing. It’s the first campout of the season so it will be a good opportunity for the new Scouts to get comfortable with the camping routine and for older Scouts to come up with some fun activities and everyone to relax around the campsite. Dinner for the Scouts will consist of some special kind of cooking competition that the PLC is putting together. Campfire in the evening.

Permission slips and money are due at the troop meeting on Tuesday, April 14.

As always, we need some good participation from adults to help make the campout a success. I am also looking for an adult volunteer to do the food shopping and meal prep for the adults. The benefits of being this volunteer are 1) you get to cook food you like to eat 2) you will have minions you can order around to help you with the cooking and 3) you don’t have to do the clean-up! If you would like to take on this fabulous opportunity please let me know.
