What We Do
Troop 114 is dedicated to developing youth leaders through the Patrol Method of Scouting. It is a fun community of boys and adult leaders, and we invite you to visit us on the web or in person! Troop meetings are held 7pm on most Tuesday evenings during the school year, at the Edith Rogers VA Hospital on Springs Road in Building 80, Room 121. This is a map to our meeting location.
To keep up with happenings, please see Calendar and Announcements links to your left. They contain most everything you need to know about what we are doing. We uses an online group for troop-wide messages. You can request to join our group by following the Forum link.
How We Succeed
Troop 114 is a boy-run organization. We give each scout the opportunity to directly control his own advancement, influence decisions about what we do and how we do it. Most boys like to learn about things by actually doing them. Scouting builds on the love of the outdoors that is in most every boy and will teach you how to survive under less than ideal conditions, to respect the land, water, and air that surrounds us. This program lets the scout explore, develop new interests, increase his knowledge, and progress in rank and leadership at his own pace.
