Many of our troop activities center around water (Swimming, Canoeing, Island Camping). In order for us to conduct these activities, we need Lifeguards to supervise. In past years Troop 114 has been fortunate to have several members (both Scouts & Adults) who took up the challenge and completed the rigorous BSA Lifeguard training. However, many have now moved on and we find that we are faced with a critical need. If you are a good swimmer and like a challenge, please consider taking the Lifeguard training at summer camp. To qualify for the course you must be age 14 or completed 8th grade and be able to demonstrate the skills covered in the Swimming, Lifesaving, Rowing, Canoeing & First Aid merit badges. To become certified you must be CPR certified.
