Troop 114 Trip Information Sheet & Permission Slip

Scouts Skills Weekend, Camp Resolute, Bolton, MA

November 17 - 19, 2006

Camping/Cooking Scout Skill Activities

Activities:

We will drive to Bolton and set up our tents at Camp Resolute. On Saturday Scouts and Webelos will participate in a variety of activities designed to improve basic and advanced Scouting skills. Afternoon activities will include camp wide orienteering, advancement opportunities, time for open activities possibly including capture the flag or other large area games organized by the Troop  Gamemasters.

Who may attend:

All ages & ranks. Pack 194 Webelos are also welcomed to join Troop 114 Scouts.

Location:

Camp Resolute, Plains Field Site, Bolton, Massachusetts

Meet at:

6:15 PM from the parking lot at VA building 80.  HAVE DINNER AT HOME   (Webelos will be arriving on Saturday morning by 9:00)

Dress:

 

 

What to Bring:

 

 

Class A uniforms for Friday departure and Sunday return. Class B uniforms for

Saturday. Be prepared for cold weather!!  In the past we have enjoyed liquid sunshine, snow and cold. SEE SCOUT BOOK FOR COLD WEATHER CAMPING INFORMATION.

NOTE: Electronic devices of any kind are prohibited

Scouts should bring their handbook and a compass for orienteering event. Scouts should not bring junk food or candy of any kind. Such is contrary to the proper diet and "healthy" concepts we are teaching in Scouting.

Est. Return Time:

1:00 Sunday - Scouts will be returned to the Scout Hut on Sunday to remove Troop equipment for drying and cleaning.

Permission slip due:

Troop Meeting November 7th with Patrol food money.

None

Food Cost:

$20 Cash (4 meals including cooking contests) due to Scribe at Troop meeting November 7th.  Patrols may want to plan a snack for Friday night.

In your pocket:

Troop usually stops at McDonalds on the way home on Sunday. Scouts may want to bring a small amount of money for lunch for this purpose.

Trip  Permission Slip – Cut and Return

My son (name) ________________________________________________ has my permission for full participation in the program. I have read the above information and understand the conditions and objectives of this trip. I waive all claims against the leaders, the troop or the Boy Scouts of America. In case of emergency, I request that measures be instituted without delay as judgment of the unit leader and/or authorized medical personnel dictates for either my son or myself (if attending). I have alerted the leaders of any special dietary needs or medical requirements. I have made my son(s) aware that attending any activity is a privilege. He may attend this activity only if good scout spirit is shown (See Scout Handbook). My son may not be able to attend an activity if vehicle space is limited based upon 1) Recent Scout spirit, 2) Rank, or 3) Level of parental involvement in Troop 114.
